1. Information We Collect
1.1 On-Device Sensor Data
Camera Frames
We access live camera frames only on your device to detect infrared hotspots. No images or video are ever uploaded or stored on our servers.
Magnetometer Readings
We use your device’s magnetometer to detect magnetic anomalies. All processing happens locally on the device.
Network Scan Results
We scan your local Wi-Fi network for IP addresses to help you visualize devices on the same network. Only IP addresses are displayed—you remain anonymous, and no network data is transmitted off-device.
1.3 Identifiers & Usage Data
Device Identifiers
We generate an anonymized, non-personal device ID to manage background tasks and subscription status.
Analytics & Crash Reports
We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand app performance and stability. These services collect usage metrics (e.g., which features you use and how often), crash logs, and basic device information (OS version, model, locale).
1.4 In-App Purchases
If you subscribe or make an in-app purchase, we process transactions via the App Store and RevenueCat. We only receive non-personal purchase receipts and subscription statuses.
2. How We Use Your Information
On-Device Processing
All sensor data (camera frames, magnetometer, network scan) is analyzed locally; we do not upload raw images, magnetometer logs, or network traffic off your device.
Feature Enabling
Location data powers optional background geofencing.
Device identifiers and purchase receipts enable subscription checks.
Analytics & Improvement
We use anonymized analytics to improve app stability, identify crash patterns, and guide feature development.
3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with:
RevenueCat: for managing in-app subscriptions.
Apple App Store: to process purchases and subscription receipts.
All shared data is limited to non-personal identifiers, aggregated usage statistics, and crash logs.
4. Your Choices
Camera & Sensor Access
You can disable camera or sensor permissions at any time in Settings → Privacy. Disabling camera access will disable scanning features.
Location Services
You may switch location permission to “Never,” “While Using App,” or “Always” in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
Analytics Opt-Out
You can disable Firebase Analytics by toggling “Share app activity” off in Settings (if available).
Subscription Management
Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings under Subscriptions.
5. Data Security
We employ industry-standard safeguards (TLS, on-device encryption) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure—please notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access.
6. Children’s Privacy
Hidden Camera Detector is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we’ve collected data from a child under 13, please contact us to have it removed.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice or by updating the “Last updated” date above.
